Streetball At The Mall is an annual basketball event which happens at the Kumasi City Mall Car Park. It is primarily sponsored by the KUMASI CITY MALL and organized by Clockwork Brand (powered since volume 3).

The 7th edition (vol.7) comes off on October 21st and ends on October 22nd. This 2 day basketball tournament is packed with fun activities such as shootout contests, dunk contests,lots of good music, socializing and of course wild exhibition of basketball talent for the grand prize.

Everything You Need To Know

First price – GHS 2000.00

Second place – GHS 1000.00

  • 13 silver medals 

Streetball uses the regular FIBA RULES AND REGULATIONS but has been modified to suit the conditions of the event and its resources.

A maximum of 12 players will be registered to represent a team with one coach.

Team list of each team will be submitted before or on a said date to enable smooth accreditation and player processing.

There will be 3 rounds in the two day tournament, 

  1. Group Stage Matches (Round Robin)
  2. Semi Finals ( Knockout)
  3. Finals(Chip Game)

 

  • First round games are played in 2 HALVES (15min/half, last 2 minutes will be STOP)
  • Second round games are played in 2 HALVES (15min/half, last 4 minutes will be STOP)
  • Finals will be played in 4 quarters (10min/qtr, last 2 minutes will be STOP)
  • There will be no 3rd place match.

Team and personal fouls will be recorded with a custom score sheet with all the basic needed records. There will be foul blocks available and time and score will be displayed on a smart screen.

 

Streetball at the mall has grown over the years with the maximum participation interest of individuals, teams and coaches and the organizing body is very grateful, however, these rules and regulations are what keeps the event in shape and we are keen on making sure they are followed. Once you have registered your team to partake in this event and signed your agreement to be a part of this journey, we believe the organizers and the participating individuals are under a contract which has to be respected.

Steps taken such as match forfeit due to unavailability, eviction from the premises due to misconducts will affect everyone under the SBAM umbrella. Any concern can be made known in the whatsapp group platform.

Each team is required to make a payment of GHS 550 as registration to confirm a participation slot. This is supposed to be done either before the deadline or slots are full.

Team reps will then be ushered into a whatsapp group where further concerns are addressed and more information is displayed.
